Part of my design process for creating knitwear designs involves the creation of intricate schematics which I interpret from my concept sketches. These schematics help me work out proportions and shape, which I can then translate into numbers for a knitting pattern. Below is an initial schematic that I made using Adobe Illustrator.

Below is the initial concept that I created for the Brooklyn Tweed Yarn Company in response to a call for submissions.
Below are pictures of the finished garment on a model. The design changed slightly through the process to feature a dramatic V-shape on the back, which added visual interest and helped the fit.
